Our sovereign debt expert, Professor Dr. Rodrigo Olivares-Caminal is one of the co-authors of the book “Understanding Sovereign Debt. Options and Opportunities for Africa”. The second edition was launched by the African Legal Support Facility in collaboration with the @nternational Monetary Fund, last week during the IMF_WB annual meetings in Washington DC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This book provides insights and practical strategies for navigating sovereign debt challenges in Africa, with lessons that can be applicable to many countries outside the region. It has become a worldwide reference in the field of sovereign debt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rodrigo is a Professor of Banking and Finance Law at Queen Mary University of London and an international consultant for several multilateral institutions in Washington D.C. and Europe, Central Banks and Sovereign States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
