With over thirty years’ experience in commercial law, he heads the firm’s Special Situations department and plays a key role in its M&A practice. He regularly advises on complex, highprofile mandates and has acted in hundreds of insolvency and restructuring proceedings, including crossborder matters
involving national and multinational groups. Clients and peers value his strategic approach, innovative solutions and ability to manage multiple jurisdictions and stakeholders. Among other roles, he serves as insolvency administrator to the Petersen companies.
He holds a law degree from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, as well as a Master’s in Business Law and a Master’s in Urban Planning and Real Estate Law. He has further strengthened his international profile by completing the Lawyers Management Programme (LMP), jointly delivered by the London
School of Economics and IE Law School, and, in 2024, the Specialisation Programme in Corporate Governance for Directors at Sagardoy Business & Law School.
Armando is a member of the International Bar Association, the Turnaround Management Association, and the Spanish Arbitration Club, where he sits on the committee responsible for drafting the bestpractice manual. He is also a member of ASPAC (Professional Association of Insolvency Administrators). His
active involvement in these organisations underlines his commitment to international best practice in restructuring, insolvency and dispute resolution.
