The Audiencia Naciona, a high court with competence over the whole territory of Spain, has admitted the complaint filed by Kepler-Karst against the companies Wenance and Abuntia, as well as their administrators and collaborators. This constitutes a crucial step in the investigation of one of the most relevant macro-frauds in recent years. The case involves an alleged fraud of approximately more than €20 million, affecting thousands of people in Argentina, Spain and other countries.
The court has determined that the facts have a direct impact on the national economy and on the security of commercial transactions. This milestone marks the formal commencement of criminal investigations in Spain, complementing the proceedings already initiated in Argentina.
