Kepler-Karst successfully obtains the declaration of the necessary insolvency proceedings for Abuntia Services S.L., in the alleged scam involving Wenance and Abuntia, affecting over 1,000 victims.

Kepler-Karst achieves a new milestone in the Wenance and Abuntia case, representing over 200 affected individuals – out of a total of more than 1,000 – in an alleged scam. On April 19, 2024, the Judge presiding over Commercial Court No. 4 of Madrid ruled to declare the necessary insolvency proceedings for Abuntia Services S.L., ordering the suspension of the exercise of administrative and dispositional powers over the assets and rights comprising the active estate, with all effects.

The Judge also appointed an insolvency administrator, designating ETL BUREAU AUDITORES, S.L., represented by Mr. Íñigo Gutiérrez Allúe, for such purpose, to handle communications to creditors, public entities, and worker representatives. The decision by the Judge indicates that Abuntia's financial data demonstrates a current insolvency situation, as its balance sheet as of December 31, 2023, shows that the current assets amount to -9,261,870.45 euros and the current liabilities amount to 77,535.25 euros.

The Kepler-Karst team is led by partners Davinia Sánchez de la Cruz and María Bartle, specialists in insolvency law, supported by Argentinean consulting lawyer, Fabián Medizza, among others, and by Of Counsel members Eduardo de Urbano and Víctor Miranda, white collar crime specialists.
